We are unable to have children of different ages in a group not corresponding to their age. The age groups are 4-6 years, 7-10 years and 11-14 years
- Raincoat/waterproof jacket
- Change of Clothes (in case of emergency)
- Hat
- Swimming Togs and Towel
- Old Trainers / Wetsuit Booties / Crocs (flip flops are not suitable for the activity)
- Wetsuit are available to borrow
- Packed lunch and a drink
Within the age groups we divide the children based on their experience. This is completed after registration on the first day by the instructors.
Yes, so long as they are within the same age group. Just after registration on the first morning the instructors will divide the children into groups. It’s important that chidlren ask to go with their friends at this point. Please note that in the case of friends being at different levels of experience, we will likely have to move the more advanced child to the group with the less advanced friend. The instructors will still offer coaching based on each child’s experience level.
No, but they do be relatively water confident. They will of course be wearing a buoyancy aid (dinghy sailing version of lifejacket) when on or near the water.
The previous discount system was established in response the 2008 recession. To limit the price increase we had to make this year, we have decided to remove the discount structure. We have faced substantial cost increases since the beginning of the pandemic and it was not longer sustainable to run on this basis.
