2023 Review: Powerboats go National!

We’re always happy to work away from our main base in Dun Laoghaire and travel all over the country on all types of jobs.

This year we were delighted to work once again with friends all over the country and two examples stand out!

Ramor Watersports Club

We’ve been working with Ramor Watersports Club in Virgina, County Cavan since 2019 on a variety of programmes from children’s sailing to powerboat training including the National Powerboat Certificate and Safety Boat Certificate.

There’s always a great welcome by the club who are based in the Lakeside Manor Hotel. The club has been going from strength to strength with new powerboats, and an enhanced marina. Their facebook page is kept up to date with all the goings on.

This year we were in the club delivering powerboat training (and a Summer course for the kids in the area, but more on that later).

We use a variety of craft, matching some of the club’s own boats and vessels from Dun Laoghaire to complement the training.

Carlow Civil Defence

Our relationship with Carlow Civil Defence goes back many years – having delivered powerboat training over the years. This April the crew headed to Bagenalstown and were once again on the River Barrow delivering training. This year the training was delivered by Robyn and Eddie. The team is looking forward to visiting Carlow and the Civil Defence Team again soon!
