The Irish National Sailing & Powerboat School is delighted to announce a series of Irish Sailing Dinghy Instructor programmes.
CPD Revalidation Workshop – One Day Course
The aim of the CPD Revalidation Workshop is to:
• Maintain high standards of instruction;
• Review instructors own personal skills and knowledge.
This is done by:
• Shorebased briefing and administration;
• Review of shorebased knowledge and waterbased skills;
• Instuctors delivering sessions with peer / Trainer review.
By attending a CPD Revalidation Workshop you revalidate all your Irish Sailing certificates within the discipline up to and including Senior Instructor Certificates.

Dinghy Pre-Entry Assessment
Pre-Entry Dates

The cost for the pre-entry assessment is €125. We reserve the right to cancel the programme if minimum numbers (as prescribed by Irish Sailing) are not met. Online booking is available for this programme.
Irish Sailing Advice for Candidates
Please ensure that you have reviewed the following document prior to attendance at the Pre-Entry Assessment.
Upon successful completion of the Pre-Entry Assessment, the candidates checkclick account will be marked off.
What to bring
Candidates should attend with equipment they need to go sailing. We can provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids if required.
Additional Preparation by the Candidate
Prior to the pre-entry assessment, the candidate will receive an email asking them to affiliate with the Irish Sailing Instructor Trainer on Checklick.
Dinghy Instructor Course

The course fees are €450.
Pre-requisites:
- Minimum age is 17
- Irish Sailing SBSS Pre-entry Assessment
- Irish Sailing National Powerboat Certificate
- Valid Emergency Care Certificate
- Current Irish Sailing Garda Vetting Clearance
- Valid Sport Ireland Safeguarding 1 Certificate
- Hold a current/valid Irish Sailing Membership
