This course is designed for those undertaking the Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore Assessment. The course builds on the knowledge gained in the Day Skipper Theory Course, fine tuning these skills, as well as introducing new techniques.

Course Times: The course runs Saturdays 9.30am-5pm, Tuesday evenings 6-9.30pm and Thursdays 6-9.30pm. 

Course 1: March 2023
Thursday 2nd, Saturday 4th, Tuesday 7th, Thursday 9th, Saturday 11th, Tuesday 14th, Thursday 16th, Saturday 18th, Tuesday 21st, Thursday 23rd. The assessment will take place on Saturday 25th March. 

Course Fee – €525: Includes all course notes, books, papers and complimentary tea and coffee.

Can’t make a lesson – Remote Attendance
We know that life can be unpredictable. Therefore, we will be streaming each lesson online live, so you can join in remotely if you need to miss an evening. Equally, these recorded lessons will allow course participants to review materials again in their own time if needed. Recordings will be available until the end of the course.

In fact, if you want you can attend the whole course remotely, but please let us know in advance of lesson 1 as we’ll need to send you the course materials in this case.

The Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Offshore Theory Course is delivered by Urban Truant, a RYA Recognised Training Centre specialising in online training. Upon booking, a website link and password will be sent to you, please allow one business day to receive this.

You will be tutored /supported by an experienced RYA instructor. Hard copies of training charts are course notes are also sent to you by post. The cost of the programme is €400.

The contract is between Urban Truant and the student and please note that by booking this course you agree to the terms and conditions of Urban Truant. To enable access to your online course we need to share some of your personal data with Urban Truant. This training website and database is held and maintained on a secure server. Urban Truant is an RYA training centre which specialises in online navigation training and will not use your personal information for any reason other than enabling your course. You’ll have 6 months to complete the course, however, this can be extended for €30.00 paid to the Irish National Sailing and Powerboat School.
